What your soil requires, explained plainly

  1. Owner
  2. Engineer
  3. Sanitarian
  4. TCEQ

Texas requires it: the owner's land, an engineer's or a registered sanitarian's signed design, and a TCEQ permit, before anyone breaks ground.

Every system here starts with what's actually in the ground. It's evaluated, designed to match the soil, permitted through the state, and installed and inspected before it's covered. Septic system designs and prices vary greatly depending on your soil type, and this business has been reading Guadalupe and Comal County ground since 1997.

  • 4 checkpoints

Texas law requires every septic system to pass through the same four checkpoints: owner, engineer or sanitarian, state permit, inspected install.

What's done here

Traditional and aerobic systems, dosing, lift stations, grease traps, and the maintenance that keeps all of it working, for residential and commercial properties, plus real estate septic inspections and a soil consultation before anything is designed.

  • Traditional Septic Systems: Installed to match the site, not a template.
  • Aerobic Systems (Spray & Drip): Installed, maintained, and repaired.
  • Low Pressure Dosing Systems: Installed and serviced for tighter lots.
  • Lift Stations: Installed and maintained where gravity alone won't do it.
  • Grease Traps: Installed and serviced for commercial kitchens.
  • Annual Maintenance Contracts: Scheduled upkeep, year after year.

The Permit, Explained

Nobody puts a septic system in the ground in Texas without going through the same four stops. Here's what each one actually is.

  1. Site & Soil Evaluation

It starts on the property, reading what's actually down there. Topsoil, caliche, and clay each drain differently, and that's what decides what kind of system the lot can support.

  2. Design Matched to Soil

Texas requires the design itself to be prepared by a licensed engineer or a registered sanitarian, not sketched on a napkin. Septic system designs and prices vary greatly depending on your soil type, which is exactly why this step exists.

  3. TCEQ Permit Filed

The design goes to the permitting authority, under the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality's rules for on-site sewage facilities, before anyone breaks ground.

  4. Install & Inspection

Once the permit is in hand, the system goes in and is inspected before it's covered. Central Texas Septic & Aerobics has carried a TCEQ OSSF installer license, OS00010915, 0005796, since Comal County began listing its registered installers.

What the ground does here

Central Texas clay and caliche hold water differently after a hard rain than they do in a dry August, and what's underground stays the deciding factor no matter the season.
